A gusty Laser 4.7 day with Lily Butler, Freya Skingley and Linda World taking the top 3 positions. Visitors Oscar & Jasper from Exeter took the double handed trophy trailing as they did behind the talented trois filles. Sophia Walker also on her first outing with HRSC soon got her wings soloing in her Laser Pico; improving in confidence and performance with every lap. A great day for all 7 young at heart ladies out sailing.

The May Family Cup 22nd July Results

With an amazing demonstration of downwind speed & control, playing the angles with the spinnaker, Lymington racer Sam Webb and his mum Jenny zoomed around the course making the Feva XL do things it probably didn’t think it could. Its always a pleasure to be thrashed by sheer quality, and never more so than Team Webb’s 12 year old helm – we want his autograph!

HRSC Dinghy Race Reports Thursday 19 04 2018

Wafted by a gentle Northerly breeze on the hottest day of the year, HRSC was justly rewarded for its massive team effort in getting the club back on the water following Storm Emma’s attempt to wreck the club foreshore and pontoon.

Pontoon Open

Thanks to a massive effort by HRSC Commodore JC Bolitho and his teams, and indeed Falmouth Divers, by the 20th April:

Pontoon was open for business – MIND the GAP between the Quay & Repaired Bridge.
Dinghy Park, largely cleared Racks repaired
Dinghy Racing Marks refurbished, set & racing began in glorious sunshine
Wayfarers repaired and rejuvenated
Wayfarer, Drascombe, Safety & Committee moorings redesigned & replaced.
Committee & Safety  boats overhauled and improved to an exceptional standard.

Now’s the time to pat each other on the backs,  shake hands by way of thank you,  get out on the water,  and celebrate the season to come when greeting old, new friends and holiday makers alike.

If the Helford is not an elixir of life – what is?

er, yer dont have to drink it, just immerse, something which racers, canoeists and swimmers do willingly (mostly)
