Winter Talks Series: Communicating With Mars – This Friday

The Winter Talks Series kicks off this Friday 15th October at 8pm with Ian Jones CEO of Goonhilly Satellite Earth Stations’  ‘’Goonhilly  – Communicating with Mars!‘’; An amazing talk about what goes on at the Earth Station and the regeneration of the site.

Unpaid Tenders on the Pontoon

Dear Members,

Any tenders remaining on the pontoon which are not displaying a payment sticker will be removed this Sunday 19th September.

Owners will be charged for their storage.

Upcoming RYA Level 1 & 2 Courses

Dear Members

The Helford River Sailing Club is offering more dates for RYA Level 1 & 2 Courses which take place at the Childrens Sailing Trust. The new dates are as follows:


Will give you a basic understanding of boat handling techniques.


You will become a competent sailor in light winds, improving sailing techniques and manoeuvres, rigging, launching, safety capsize, recovery and basic rules of the road.

Drying Mooring

The Club has one Drying Mooring suitable for boats up to 22ft available for rental.  It’s situated a short distance from the end of the Club pontoon and will dry out on a big spring tide.

The cost is £440 for the forthcoming season.

One of our members is on the look out for one that will fit a finger berth, so a maximum length of 5m.
