Colin Charles Brown
Many club members were saddened to hear that Colin Brown had recently passed away. The club would like to offer our deepest sympathy to his family. Here is an obituary written by his son Matt with contributions from friends and a picture of Colin at the helm of his Drascombe Coaster “Aziz”.
RYA Powerboat Level 2 Course
The club are running a series of RYA Powerboat Level 2 courses this year. Please speak to Tracey in reception about course dates and availability, and then fill in this online form to enroll.
You will need two spare minutes and a “passport style” selfie that is well lit and with a neutral background.
Navigation buoys

Helford River Navigational Aids Committee are pleased to announce that they have secured a grant from Trinity House Charitable trust to renew the Voose buoy. It will be larger than the present buoy and will also be lit. Light sequence Q fl 1sec. We hope to have it on station by mid July.
Members are also warned to keep well clear of Bar buoy at low water springs. Remember it is only an aid to navigation. The same applies to August Rock buoy!

Communal Capsize
Phil Samuels reports “The wind was pretty lively and all five lasers capsized. McD won from Andy Biggs with Phil Philpott in third, on his first laser outing. The two 4.7s had a close tussle with Matt Broad in 4th just ahead of Beks Hosking”
