The weather in the last few days has improved and the sun has shone through so maybe it’s an indication of the summer weather to come! Let’s keep our fingers crossed for a great boating calendar.

In my last report we were searching for new Stewards. I am very happy to report that we have appointed Jack and Sophie and they have moved into the Club and will be open for business on 20th March. Our best wishes go out to them both and we ask you please to make a point of coming down and introducing yourself to them and sample what they have to offer. In the absence of Stewards we have been treated to some great Sunday lunch culinary delights produced by some of the Club Members. The atmosphere in the Club has been fantastic and it has been great to see so many people supporting each occasion and enjoying themselves. It would be appreciated if this level of support could be continued in the future weeks and months.

In preparation for the start of the new season there have been many working parties to get the clubhouse, grounds and equipment ready for the season ahead. Thank you to all who have helped. This is an essential part of the Club infrastructure and really does need your assistance.

On 29th March we are holding our Grand Opening of the New Clubhouse. Please come along from 12.00hrs and enjoy a glass of bubbly and some canapés, listen to some great background music and meet local dignitaries and guests from the Port of Falmouth Sailing Club Associations. All are very welcome and it really should be a great day to celebrate the new development.

Whatever your interest, be it big boats, small boats, fast boats or social, I look forward very much to meeting you all at the Club during 2014 and many thanks for your continued support.
