What's On

Wednesday 30th October @ 8:00pm

The second of his three great ships, Brunel successfully created the first transatlantic liner launched in 1843. She was salvaged in the Falklands and returned to Bristol in 1970.

Our speaker, Ian Caskie, is joining us from Bristol, is an authority on the history of this fine ship and has been directly involved with her since 2007. Ian’s illustrated and enthusiastic talk tells a remarkable story and will take us from her original design up to the present day.

The bar opens and food will also be available from 6pm. Please reserve a meal table in advance and last food orders by 6.45pm please to ensure you are able to be served well before the lecture starts.
